I haven't seen a whole lot of chat on here about Borla's headers for C6s, I'm looking at a set for my 2010 Z52 GS .Anyone here own a set?
I've read they manufacture for others, but being that they are a couple hundred cheaper than the competition, I'm just curious what their design is? Merge collectors, etc? I guess their closest price competition would be the LG street series headers.
Cant speak for myself as I dont have aftermarket headers. I do that years back LG used the Borla design for there headers. Not sure about that now, but it may be a good place to start.
Huh, with all the cars with headers and bazillion threads about them on here, I figured there would be more feedback on the Borla XR1s, especially considering they're over $300 cheaper than the "big three" headers everyone seems to have. Looks like the least expensive US made header to me?
Since their price is so similar, and LG has used Borla to manufacture in the past, are the LG streets and Borla XR1s the same header in a different box?
I also noticed the Borla headers on Ebay a couple days ago.I can't help but be curious if they are in fact the equivalent to LG's super pros.If you look at the collector it looks like the super pros not the street series.
That would be quite a deal! I guess the reason for the cost savings is since Borla was making them anyway, you're just "cutting out the middleman". I'm still surprised no one has chimed in here who actually owns or has seen a set in person.
If you search around, there was a guy on here that had a set of them. It's been over a year since I was searching for somebody with borla headers but after searching I found one person!!

You will find here people tend to follow the crowd. Forum vendors and advertising have a lot to do with it. Also some people equate cheaper with budget or low quality. It seems like many here are not willing to go it alone, rather they need qualification from the general masses.
The common "accepted" brands of headers here are:
LG
AR
Kooks
Anything else and you will be "going on your own." My guess is there are many quality products for cheaper than what is commonly used here. Good Luck
