Agreed. I run the 275/35/18 and 305/30/19 and have TC problems at the track. Looking forward to the 265/305 combo once these tires are worn.

Here ya go. These are Nitto Invos in a 305/30R19 Rears and 265/35R18 Fronts. The backs fit and look great. The fronts are a little too wide for the stock wheels. However I have had ZERO issues with T/C and the ride is wayyy better than my stock sized BFG KDWs ever were. Fronts will probably wear incorrectly so def don't go wider than 255s up front if you can.

Will you have active handling or traction issues if you keep the front tires stock and just change the rears to 305/30/19?

I'm not sure on that one. Your stock fronts will be larger than the 305/30R19s so its a possibility. Maybe others that run that combo can chime in.

I'm running Hankooks on front and rear. 265/35 18's and 305/30 19's. The front/rear ratio is not exact vs stock. It's .955 (mine) vs .962 (stock). I have had TC issues on occasion, but not every time I run through the gears. When I had 305/30's on the rear with stock fronts, TC would kick in almost every time after the 3-4 shift. Now, it doesn't kick in unless I'm on it really hard (650rwhp). It might be a little bit of slip that causes it with the current setup. Before, it was mismatched tire diameters.

I have invo 305's on the back and 245's up front, no issues at all. you'll be fine. i have intake/headers/tune and have great handling and no drivability issues.
the guy with 650rwhp has TRACTION issues, nothing to do with front tire sizes.

I'm waffling between Michelin Pilot Super Sport and Bridgestone RE11.

Probably. I learned the hard way that when choosing tire sets, the rear diameter needs to be 1.1 or 1.2 inches larger than the fronts. If its smaller (in my case I'm running about 0.7" larger) than 1.1", the car thinks that the rear tires are spinning faster than they should be and will activate TC. In my car (275/35/19 front and 305/30/19 rear), this will occur under hard acceleration above 90 mph.
Just choose a combo with that 1.1 to 1.2" stagger and you will be fine.

What kind of AH/TC issues does the mismatch tires cause? I've got stock run flats up front & some 305 30 19 Invos out back & here lately the car completely noses over on the 3rd to 4th shift @ wot. I haven't noticed any lights on the dash when this occurs, but it feels like I'm grabbing the brakes in between the shift only when going to 4th though. At the time I only have the TC off, AH is still active. What gives?
