Default 2009 Stock A6 Dyno

We just had a dyno day at our local shop and figured I would see what my car pulled before I started adding things to it. It is bone stock except for a K&N CAI with a Halltech Beehive. Pulled 390hp/387tq in 4th on a Mustang Dyno. I was pleasantly surprised with the results.

Pretty typical for an LS3 with M6. Now, if you have an A6 then WOW!

Congrats anyway, good baseline to build on for sure.

Doesn't the AF ratio seem really rich or is this normal factory reading?

Thanks! Yes, it is an A6 . They said it was running rich, but that is straight factory tune showing.

Default C6 A6 Dyno

The factory run the cars rich because it is safer and it keeps the Cats hot for better emissions. There is usually some HP gains to be had with a tune to improve the A/F ratio. 390 for a near stock LS3 A6 on a Mustang Dyno is very good. Now the pursuit for more HP begins.

For comparison, here is a stock C6 A6 on a Dynojet Dyno from our club's Dyno Shootout in December 2011.

Note the same rich factory A/F ratio.

That's a very nice baseline. I bought a 2008 in December that was none stock and it put down 408/392 when I put it on the dyno. Congrats man!!!

Great numbers and looks like a stong A6

The AFR runs really rich from the factory and once COT kicks in, she will get fat
