Does a 2006+ have a column lock at all?
I live in Canada but the car is a US car (imported from states).
Looking at the wiring diagrams it looks like in 2007 the US Auto car had no column lock module, while the Export Autos did. It also appears that ALL MANUAL cars exports or US cars had a column lock module.
How does it differ from the 05 version, I know those were notorious for their failures and had a ribbon cable.
If my car being auto didn't have a column lock module, once I reprogram the BCM with Tech 2 to have the Manual RPO, will it look for the column lock module?
Or am I confused here lol.
Also note.
My manual trans only has one sensor on it for the reverse switch, so the switch to lock is not there, and the harness doesn't have wire 5007

Honestly, noowhere in the service manual does it say that. It shows MN6/MZ6 trans and the schematic, for 06+. And the only one it shows not having is MYC (auto) US car only, as MYC MAE (export auto) has the lock 06+ even on auto.
So this is really something thank you
That means that when I get my BCM flashed, I wont have to worry about any error codes. Trust me, I spent days looking at the wiring diagrams, and it couldn't be any more deceptive lol. Thanks!
