I finished my cam/ported heads intall today. Car fired right up with no issues! Getting it tuned on Feb 23rd by ECS! Can't wait!
Thanks to Justinjor on the board who answered alot of questions for me along the way!
Mods are:
Pat G spec'd cam (valve springs, pushrods, etc)
Cleaned up LS3 heads - valve job, mild clean up, not hogged out.
1 3/4 lg headers
Airraid Cold Air
Powerbond 25% Underdrive pulley
Good Job wazslow!! Give you credit for not going the lazy way out like I am having my cam installed (next week, 2/20!!) No time or patience right now, Lol
Just watched the video and sounds pretty good man! What were your specs on that cam again?? Where in PA are you? I work in Trenton, wouldnt mind checking the car out at some point
I'm right In Bucks County, 5 minutes over the bridge from Trenton. PM me if/when you would like to see the car.
Ya, thats right... Very close to my Pat G cam im getting put in...
wait, just looked at my specs, its identical! LoL Would love to hear it and definitely looking forward to your tuning results to compare once mine is done!
Send you a PM in a minute...
Nice dude, congrats! Doesn't it feel good to have everything come together? It seems that cam is a popular choice when Pat is sending out recommendations. I'm anxious to see what your dyno/track results will be when the time comes. Any idea when you'll be getting it tuned?
Congrats again on putting in the wrench time and getting the job done. I applaud you.
Just make sure you break it in and be easy on it until your oil temps see 150* when you're out cruising. The stiffer springs are more brittle and you'll want to be easy on it until they reach operating temps.

Thanks Justin!
Car is getting tuned at ECS on Feb 23rd. I will post up the numbers when I get them. I hope to take the car to the track in March or April, I just need to get a set of 275x40x17 MT drag radials. I'll make sure not to rip on it until its warmed up, good tip!
My DIC is almost always on the oil temperature readout so I know just when I can lay into it. Otherwise, I keep rpms below 3500 until I see the magic 150* come up on the screen. Even then, my street tires are worthless and until I get new ones, I just spin all the way through 3rd gear.
