I like the clean look of an LS3 air intake, so I ordered an LS3 CAI to attach to my ported stock throttle body and cable adapter, so that I can install an LS3 MAF sensor. My tuner says that the larger flow of the LS3 CAI will have a negative impact on my bottom end power and I believe him becasue it makes sense.
I am thinking of making a billet aluminum restricter that I could put in the CAI to reduce the flow slightly before the MAF.

Am I nuts?
Thanks!
I would think adding a restrition before the MAF will speed up the air at the MAF possibly causing problems. Listen to "Spin", he has lots of experience in these matters.
