Default Wheels for Racing.. Stock Fronts on the rear

Can I run a pair of stock front wheels (2007) on the rear with drag radials? I have a spare set and thought I could them use a set of 18' DR. This is just for an occassional trip to the dragway (1/4mile)

Thanks

Yes, they'll fit fine.

I ran them with a 265 mickey thompson et street radial for a while and sold them to a friend of mine who went deep 10s with them.

Default Wheels for drag radials

You can also use the rear z06 wheels from years 2001 to 2004 18x10.5 to mount drag radials like nitto 285x35 18. Also can use the front 17x9.5 wheels to mounts 275x40 17 drag radials. The later can work better due to better sidewall flex.

So is it better to use my stock rear 18" wheels or better to use a pair of 17" fronts if I already have them?

If you already have the 17s use those.

You have more options for tires, they'll be a bit cheaper and they'll have more sidewall which provide more consistent launches.

If you don't already have the 17s, just use the 18s as they will work fine.
