i decided to raise my car, managed to turn the bolt, just not sure how tall that bolt should be sticking up?
it is now at one inch tall on both sides,
any one knows?
thanks
Not sure about measuring that way but my car was 4 1/2 turns raised from full low in the front and 1 1/2 turns raised from full low in the rear from the factory.
The ride height is measured using a special tool and must be used on a known flat surface, like an alignment rack. Otherwise, it's all a bit of a guess.
Turning the bolt so more of the shaft sticks up above means you are lowering the car. You want to turn the bolt so more of the shaft goes into the spring.
You get a little bit more than twice the effect at the wheels that you do at the bolt, so change the bolt's position by a quarter-inch and you get a half-inch or a little more of movement at the wheel.
It takes about 500 miles for the car to fully settle into the new ride height.
