Default What size are your pushrods?

I'm curious what size pushrods should I have if my heads were Wilkes to .35? Currently I have:

285cc port*
**Milled to .35
**Titanium Intake vales are 2.20
**Stainless Exhaust valves are 1.60
**Push rods length is 7.750 & .310 thick
**
Are my pushrods too long? Been told should be 7.70 and .3875 thick...

Your thoughts?

Those seem awfully long. Mine are 7.425 11/32" diameter.

Our heads are different (Z06 heads here), does that matter?

I'm sure it absolutely matters, I just wouldn't have thought it would be a .325" difference.

I'm no expert though so I'm going to respectfully not give my opinion on the matter as I'd hate to complicate things. I'll sit back and let the experts chime in

You milled the heads, reduce the length of the pushrod.

Stock is 7.8

Current thinking is the bigger the diameter of the pushrod the better. If you can fit a 3/8" rod in the head, use it, if not, a 5/16" or drill the PR hole larger if possible.

You really should use an adjustable PR to measure the length needed, there are too many variables that effect PR length.

An adjustable pr length checker and some dykem will give you the correct pr length.
