I have a problem with the battery going dead after my 2005 sets for a week or more. Its a new battery and I will have it checked but has anyone experienced this or is this something that maybe a dealer thing? THANKS
First thing to be sure of in a 2005 is that you always park it in reverse, otherwise the battery will drain. After 2005 this was corrected. All Corvettes have some parasitic drain to maintain the various computers/systems. Since many Vettes are not daily drivers, most of us use a battery tender for the down periods to keep the battery fully charged. They are cheap and easy to use. Also ensure there are not cell phones or any other accessories left plugged in.

In addition, GM did a computer update to try and help the issue. make sure the update has been installed.
Thanks everyone I think this answers my question. I'm not loaded so owning a car like this can be taxing at times, so places like the forum with good people in them help car nuts like me enjoy the little pleasures in life again THANKS to all.
Do a search for discussions in this and the C6 General Section for Dead Battery Syndrome or DBS. Pretty extensive research and hashing out the topic, possible causes, GMs response, etc, etc. ad nauseautum...yep I have an 05. Suggestions above are all good ones...good luck!
Battery tender's the way to go. Mine sits more than it is driven with an old battery and I keep a battery tender on it so when I do decide to drive it on the spur of the moment, it'll be ready to go. (now if I could just find "tenders" for everything else that it needs, it would be in great shape) LOL
