Default Interior lights don't work, any advice ?

Hi guys,

I just noticed tonight that the rearview mirror and the under dash lights don't work when I open the door. Also if I push the button on the mirror nothing happends. Everything else works ok (the door panel lights, the dash lights, etc). Is this a DIC setup issue or do I need to check the fuses ?
Does anybody know what number is the fuse for these lights ?

Thanks

Check the interior light switch on the left knee panel, to the left of the steering column. Hopefully it's something easy like that.

Thanks, but that is the intensity of the dash lights .... there is something wrong with the lights that come on when you open the door (on the rearview mirror and under the dash)...everything else is in order....

It is more than intensity. Push it in and see if your problem goes away.

I don't know the number, but if you go to the fuse box (under the passenger side carpet) all the fuses are labeled.

I have the same thing in my car. The Tech2 scanner is showing code:
B1480 Battery Rundown Protection Circuit

Will set when the courtesy lamp supply voltage circuit that feeds the courtesy lamps, underhood lamp, IP compartment lamp, console lamp and both visor vanity mirror lamps is shorted to ground for longer than 1 second.
I haven't tried to find the short yet. But I don't have vanity mirrors or the GM rearview mirror any more since I track the car and have removed/changed those. I do have the underhood lamp, IP compartment lamp, console lamp, and courtesy lamps though.

Default Interior Lights

I have the same issue with no underhood lights, visor lights etc. What do you do when the code comes up indicating a short. Is there a common place on a C4 to check when this happens, thats what is great about this forum, people have "been there-done that" with most Vette issues, any help would be great .Thanks
