The 2011 model year was the first year for dexos 1™ and it's required in all GM gas engine vehicles worldwide. There is only one synthetic blend that meets the dexos 1™ spec...it's a GM brand oil. The C6 still uses Mobil 1 as the factory fill.
Mobil 1 now has Dexos 1 oil, I think i've heard of others, its just a certification, they stamp a green logo.
I use a quality approved name brand synthetic. The choice is determined by what’s on sale at Walmart. I don’t drive the car a heck of a lot so I’ll do oil changes at 3000 mi. I use K&N gold perf oil filts

You just have to tell us .... Since you are a very new member here with just a few posts, why is it you feel the desire just to dig up very old threads and make a very simple / couple word reply to them in order to put the thread out front again after many years?
