Default Heads decision - Input needed

Okay, need a little input on head selection. Dsiclaimer, I have built a few engines, all to standard spec. The entricate details and knowledge, I lack.

Ultimately, I want an SC but with a son graduating college in a few months, I just can't part with the money. I have contacted the various specialist that offer SC's (vengenace / Lethal / ECS / etc), they all offer very good products. I am opting to upgrade or rework heads. This option will allow me to do something nice for son and get me some extra ponies as well.

Let me start with current mods: LG headers / Cali AI / B&B exhaust / cam (I don't know the specs because it was installed when I bought car and buyer could not provide info, I can say that it is moderately aggressive). Here are the head options I am looking at: Livernois Ported stage 3 LS heads / WCCH-Stage 2 CNC LSA Heads / Advanced Induction CNC'd 226cc GM LS2 Cylinder Head Package. I have all about TF 225's but as always like the underdog path to success. My overall intent is raw power. I plan on doing a few HPDE and a local 1/8th visit or 2. Other than that, I just like having the extra ponies to be truthful. I don't quite get the CC piece, hence my request for help. I like the driveability of the car currently. Bring on the feedback

You couldn't go wrong with any of your choices. AFRs are another good option. I run the AFR 215s and made 506 rear wheel with a 235/243 cam and a fast 102.

Whatever you do do not mill the heads if you plan on doing a blower one day. Keep stock compression.

Thanks for the reply. More than likely go with the AI option.

Looks like a good choice, have you spoken with them regarding your cam?

We can port what you have and deliver great results as well. HKE/we are doing their our heads now and offers a great package. 1600 shipped includes hardware.. HKE is a leader in LSX technology. Our new heads utilize a program developed by HKE over a years of experience.
AFR,TFS MAST.. all make great aftermarket options...
It comes down to your budget, and doing the most for your money.
We should know what specs you have for a cam as well... if the duration is big a larger intake runner ported head wont be a good idea for the characteristics it will give you so its important to know what your dealing with

I used AI and made 485/440 on a 230/234 cam. Very pleased with their service and results.

I have no data on the cam installed. The previous owner had no information other than "he loved the lope". How can I reasonably determine the specs for the cam, a degree and dial indicator? Open to suggestions. Thanks
