Only three headers to consider:

LG's, American Racing, or Kooks. I'd stay away from the SLP headers, I've read they are not very good.

That's a ridiculous statement.

SLP headers should make good power, as will any longtube header.

On the 4th gen Fbodies they hung pretty low, but I doubt that is an issue on the C6s.

Primary length and collector design are a concern if you were looking for every last HP. That being said I bet the worst LT header you can buy makes 80% of the power gains you would get from the best. The difference in price can be silly.

The SLP's for C6's are 400 series Stainless which is inferior to 300 series stainless. 400 series stainless will rust. Personally I'd go with the LG Pros, they have the longest primaries along with an excellent merge collector. I picked up 26 rwhp, but more impressively I picked up 39 foot pounds of torque in the mid range. And this is without a tune.

I think a couple of the fastest C6's in their respective mod & model categories are actually using cheap chinese headers. As a whole the "Big 3" are great and have good product support, and I can understand if its outside of someones comfort zone to stray. But to say the cheaper ones won't make as much power is baseless speculation.

SLP headers aren't terrible but they don't fit as good as some of the other top brands. We usually recommend ARH or Stainless Works long tubes. They both will make excellent power gains and use 304L stainless steel which will never rust. We can offer some killer deals on either system for board members!

I had slp lt's on my C5 Z. The car was stock height and they scraped occasionally. They also rusted and developed holes after about 3 years. I have had ARH's since 05, and no problems yet. My 02Z dynoed 362 rwhp and 365 rwtq with slp lt's, high flow cats and a tune. Most other Z's were in the 380 range with a tune and one of the big three headers.
