C6 exhaust rattle/ alignment issues?!?!
I have an 05 base model with kooks headers/x-pipe and corsa mufflers and am having a terrible time getting things together. Everything was fine until one of the mufflers came a little loose, soi went to fix it and when doing so my OCD kicked in and I wanted the mufflers as straight and level as possible. Ever since then I've had rattling issues on the passenger side over axle pipe and now the x-pipe sits on the transmission housing as if it somehow got magically bent. A mechanic friend said he had seen where aftermarket headers had melted the engine mounts on one of his mustangs before. Anyone had similar problems like this? Any input would be great before the stock exhaust gets thrown back on.
