Default NPP and mileage

I was curious.Does the NPP exhaust increase the mileage slightly when left open if you don't put your foot into the gas pedal?

I seriously doubt anyone can answer your question as I can't imagine anyone has tested that scenario. If you bought the car or exhaust for mileage and don't plan on putting your foot into it I'd say you're in the wrong vehicle.

On a long straight flat stretch, I switched back and forth and saw no difference on the instant MPG readout. Anything beyond that is purely guesses.

NPP causes worse gas mileage becuz you are more likely to put your foot into it more often

Its a good thing

No,I don't put my foot in it in town.Traffic in L.A. on the freeways is bumper to bumper.Damn near impossible to go over 30 MPH between 6AM and 8 PM.BUT,when I go to the desert, that's another story.

I would think over the long run it will slightly decrease mpg. Your RPM range at cruising is where the back pressure is needed. Just my thought.
