I have had a Halltech Venom II installed on my 2006 LS2 since new. Today a California "test only" station failed me because I did not have a "stock" filter. The car passed well within emission thresholds. 21K miles with original runflats (babied?).
Anyone know where I stand with these idiots. Does this intake filter have a Ca CARB # or OE #??? Help, please.
Im glad I dont live in the state of Cali. You can buy dope but not a non OEM filter. Go figure. Make one out of marijuana and say your car has a perscription for it and I bet it passes. lol.
CARB requirements for EO numbers are insane. We spent 1 year of paperwork to get certified and then the other shoe dropped when they insisted on a 150,000 mile test. Right. That would take around 5 years of driving to accomplish, then what?
