I have a 06 C6 corvette. I purchased a Diablo Sport Predator tuner
thinking I would gain some H.P. and Torque After the tune I gain no H.P. or torque ( Car was dyno before and after tune) I expected some gain
off the line, 40 to 60 mile passing. I thought it would down shift faster and stay in gear longer building RPMs. In driving I notice very little if any change. Has anyone else had similar results?
I didnt dyno my C5 before and after, but the difference I felt was in the auto trans. It deleted the torgue mgmt and increased line pressure which translated to shifts you could feel. For example, 1-2 shift would chirp!
The M6 C5 guys didn't feel much difference with the Diablo either.
As for the engine tune/timing...maybe the LS2/3 motors have more aggressive maps right outta the box.
Yes it was the same dyno. We put the car on the dyno then did the tune
and re-dyno. No gain in HP or Torque. The C6 has lots of H.P. and torque but I feel the automatic transmission is holding it back.

With you being in New York sounds like you need a "Chuck Cow Tune". I also looked into buying a predator also, but just so happen Chuck was visiting a show that following weekend. Man am I glad that I got the Chuck Cow tune instead. He also has this product called a Cow Booster that is awesome. Go over in Scan and Tune and search for it. He has thousands of satisfied customers me being one of them. This thing will really wake your car up. Trust me get the car in his hands and you will be all the way home and then some.
With Chuck, you get a CUSTOM tune; not a "canned tune". Every car is different and Chuck gives you a tune that's right for your car. I don't think he is more than a few hours from where you live. Drive up to his shop and get his tune and COW BOOSTER. You won't be sorry.

-yes a huge percentage have been misled like youself
-the very best, safe, reliable tune will only give you afew % improvement if any no matter what they say
-they just give you full throttle when you press the pedal 1/4 to make it seem like they gave you more power

Im in Buffalo New York where is Chuck Cow Tune located in New York?
Do you have his address and phone number?
I had a customer that came into the shop with a 2004 Pontiac GTO. The plan was to install Kooks Longtube Headers and Catted Connection Pipes. I always get a base line to measure the gains from mods. This customer had a Diablo Handheld Tuner. In order for me to properly tune the GTO, we re installed the the stock tune and gained 15 rwhp and the same on torque.
had one on my c5 and saw absolutely zero gain in quarter doing back to back to back runs. I think you should buy another diablo and throw them both in the trash... lol

So true.
The method to determine results is the most important aspect of a tune.
A butt dyno can't feel a 12 hp difference on a 400 hp car.
A chassis dyno can pretty much accurately measure differences while the car is sitting still.
A timeslip doesn't give a hp number, but does measure power differences in a real world manner.
I'm not a professional tuner, but even I can easily reduce your engine hp and modify your A6 transmission to make your car run slower and yet make you feel like it's faster.
The chassis dyno could confirm the hp loss and the timeslip would confirm the car was slower. However, your butt dyno would still make your mind believe the increase in power was AMAZING.
Some people are happy to pay for something that just makes them feel good and others want verifiable documented proof.

Must be hit or miss with these things.. When I had mine, I noticed a difference in power shortly after install. When I took the car to the track, it ran almost .3 quicker than the week before (with similar track conditions). So I was very happy with it.
I haven't tried one on my 2002 Z06 but when I used one on my 2009 Dodge Charger R/T Super Track Pack is really made a significant difference in overall performance and with gas mileage. I was pleased with it.
