Zeroing in on what I want...

After reading a bunch of stuff on here I think I'm going to avoid the ZO6 and find an LS2 or LS3 with the Z51 package. Two reasons. One is the removable top you can't get on a ZO6 and it appears an aftermarket kit for one would be about $10k. And secondly it sounds like the LS2 and LS3 is a lot more reliable than the LS7. Granted I've only been on here for a very short time, but that's the vibe I'm picking up. I tend to be a little aggressive in my driving style and whatever I get would definitely see some 1/4 mile track time.
I get on Ebay every once in a while and just browse thru checking what's out there and how much things are. Surprisingly I've run across a few supercharged LS2's with the Z51 package and ZO6 panels. They all seem to be in the roughly 600rwhp range. The looks of the ZO6 were my number one reason for wanting one so having the panels on a regular C6 works just fine for me. Plus the y have removable tops. And 600-650rwhp is right where I'd want to be. Can't buy one of these knowing my truck has more hp, lol.
My biggest question about this is how reliable do these supercharged set-ups tend to be? I know a modified set-up generally isn't going to be as reliable as stock, but how much of an issue is it if at all?
This is an example of what I'm talking about. With the exception of the hood that I find to be hideous (although easily changed out), this would be exactly what I'm looking for: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...84.m1423.l2649

As far as reliability goes, how many miles do you want the car to go? If you want 100,000 miles and drive the car hard, 650 RWHP may not be a reasonable target.
Without knowing the owner or the shop that did the install and tune, I'd be a bit nervous buying a used S/C vette. If I did buy one, I'd get the tune inspected pronto.
