Default Wide "Booty" Install Questions

I have been doing the wide "booty" install on my coupe. There have been some major issues, but that has already been covered.

I completed the L side conversion, and when going through inventory, noted that I have some parts left over from the conversion kit.

I have read back through AtomicOrange's pdf installation guide and find no mention of the extra parts.

I have a seal strip that appears to be about the negth of the upper fender mount, but no sign that there was one installed on the old fender, nor mention in the install guide.

Additionally, I have a bag of push clips. I assume that these may have been for mounting the fender liner to the under bumper and such. Possibly the Z06/GS/ZR1 used push pins to save a bit of weight over the clips and bolts? I have already installed with the clips and bolts. Any reason not to convert to the push pins?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

Anybody have thoughts on where the seal strips go? Or the push pins?

I think only base Vettes used the push pins. They were on the lower brake ducts. Don't think there are any on the Z's. Picture of the strip?

I think the push pins were supplied to replace the aft attachment of the wheel liner to the underbumper assembly. The pins are nice, just trying to determine if I will take the time to pull the bolts and clips to change to the pins.

Maybe you could look up under the back of your Z06 and see if there are bolts/clips or push pins holding the liner to the underbumper.

I will see about a pic of the seal material. The only logical place would seem to be in the upper fender mount area (inside the hatch) or somewhere around the liner where it might contact the inside of the actual fender.

Care to take a look under your car?

All are the 7mm bolts and retainer where it attaches to the rear diffusser. 7mm bolts to hold the complete innner linner.
No seal material on the inner linner on the Z's

Thanks for looking. I had read somewhere that the push pins were to replace the factory bolts and clips. I may just leave it as is.

With regard to the seal, were you able to look in the hatch area to see if the seal may have been at the top of the fender mount to the body tub. The inner fender liner or the top fender area were the only two ideas that I had. The length is about right for either option.

The L side of the car looks really good with the new fender, the R side, not so much.

Thanks again for checking.
