Default High flow cats

I had the magna flow mufflers (and CAI) installed a year ago and got a custom tune in the fall. My exhaust shop said to work my way from the back to the front and I'm looking at some ideas for less restriction, power gains and ideally a bigger sound. Would hi-flow cats help or are they that necessary? He recommended doing some other things before adding headers so just looking at options. Another option is the DHM cutouts. If I get these, would it be overkill to do something with the catalytic converter or would I notice even more sound and power?

Neither the HF cats or the cutouts are going to do much for power. So if you want more sound, the cutouts will be the ticket. Of course LT headers will give you a better sound and more power, so that would be my choice.

To my ear, cats do not "add" much sound volume.
Also they add very little to horsepower.
(I have 'em)

Headers over cats for performance.
Cutouts over both for exhaust volume.

Are there any other options to get some more power before going to a cam? Just didn't want to go that far yet and I was hoping there were a couple of things to do before headers. I don't want to do the intake manifold, just don't think there is much of a power gain from that. Eventually i will do headers but I was hoping something else could give a few more horses. I guess my next step will be the cutouts.
