So the only fix is a tick?? What about the ls7 unit. How would that not fix it?
In May this year, clutch pedal is on the floor.
It will stay up if I lift it up, but it will not engage/dis-engage the clutch at all.
Tow to GM dealer.
Car is 2007 Z51 convertible, with coil-overs, and pfadt sway bars, with 10inch and 11inch wheels, and Toyo R888 tires. Only mod to powertrain is Airaid, and Corsa indy exhaust.
Car has 10,000 miles on it. We autocross it 5-6 times per year.
I did do the "Ranger" trick once or twice a year, but not religiously.
Dealer replaced Clutch assembly, flywheel, and hydraulic cylinder (not sure if it was master or slave... but I think the slave).
Should be under warranty, right?
WRONG !!!!!!
Check the GM Powertrain warranty.... it specifically excludes the clutch assembly and flywheel.
$2700 later.... all is fine. (And they replaced with GM crap, of course).
If I had known it was NOT going to be under warranty,
I would have spent the money and UPGRADED !!!!

They didn't contact you and tell you that it wasn't under warranty?
They told me it MIGHT not be under warranty... but they would work on GM to see if it would be.
In the meantime, I needed the car, so I had to get it fixed.
