Melling HV Oil Pump Question
I just bought the melling 10296 oil pump from ecs and it came with 2 o-rings. One black and a thicker green o-ring. My picup tube has a collar and the o-ring the instructions tell me to use is the thicker one but the origional o-ring is more similar to the thinner black one. Im confused and im just getting started throwing it back together. I called melling earlier today and they said the green one is the one I need. Its not that I dont bilieve them but I just need reassurance. This is one of the most important parts on the car. I would appreciate any advice from anyone who has put the melling pump in their ls2.

I tried the green one friday night and couldn't get the pump on over it. finally put the black one on and wiggled it some and it slid in. seemed tight. guess I will find out tomorrow. Probably be tearing motor back down. I should have just bought oem
