Today i decided to lower the car but when I looked at my lowering bolts on the rear I just see a bolt, no nut to loosen . Its a 2006 coupe if that helps at all . Any help would be appreciated.
there is no nut. jack up the car, put a jackstand under the spring and lower it slightly to get the pressure off then turn the bolt. the weight of the car keeps the bolt from turning.
Just like "shift" stated left (counter clockwise) for lowering and right (clockwise) for raising. Mine took a little time to settle as I didn't drive it far after making the adjustments. All you need is a bottle neck jack and a 10mm wrench to make adjustments, it was really easy, just make sure you check measurements on both sides to keep you ride height level. I used the threads as a way to keep both sides even.
it's just a bolt that goes through the spring. the spring acts like the nut. I did this just a week ago on mine and like the above posts mention, jack car up, then place another jack under the spring and go up untill you see the pad lift off of the control arm. place your 10mm 6 point socket and drive onto the top of the bolt and adjust away! I'd soak the bolt in wd-40 before you try it though! Mine has 34,000 miles on it and while my drivers side bolt moved, the pass. side bolt broke 2 10mm sockets before I bought an impact socket that did the trick! I backed my bolts all the way up and I have a 3 finger gap inbetween the tire and fender on the rear. good luck!
