Ok seriously.. help.
Can someone tell me what the best thermostat is for my car.. I have done the searchs, and man there are so many different answers. Can someone please give me a logical answer. A lot of people run 160* and a lot run 180*
So 160t needs a re tune...... Some say yes some say no.
Some say a 180t is best for power and longevity
Some say stock is best because that's how chevy intended.
Note: I recently installed a 160* and temps are 178-192

OP: If you have a new thermostat installed, then I would get it tuned. Some have talked about, that if you get a tune that the dealership my decline your warranty, so read up on that or talk to the dealership. I have a 160 F installed on my 07 and have well over 130,000 miles on it with no problems.
Good Luck.

I'd go with a 180. I have a 160 in mine right now and my car runs too cold, even in the heat of Florida. My fans don't come on, but I still see coolant temps in the low 180s. They rarely get to 190 and I'd prefer to see them closer to 195-200.
I view thermostat choices like Goldy locks and the 3 bears.
160 is toooooo cold
195 is toooooo hot
180 is justttttttttt right
