I have had my 05 coupe for less than a year and I am just starting to really learn the car. I had read about using the Ranger method to change the clutch fluid, and I followed his directions. It took a just short of a pint of fluid exchange to get clean fluid. This was about 3 weeks ago, and when I looked at it yesterday, the fluid was black again. Should I do a change again and is this normal. I don't know if it had been changed before, but I know it was serviced by a knowledgeable Vette shop.

I used to change mine based on the clutch feel. Especially @ low RPM's backing out of the garage. It started to feel grabby and less smooth and controllable. Then I would do a few quick changes.
But ever since my clutch master was swapped out, I have almost no need for this. Fluid stays clear and clean. And the clutch is never again grabby. I also don't get on it much anymore, so that also may be helping to keep the fluid clear.

Are you talking about the clutch master on the fire wall or the clutch slave down at the clutch? Why did you have to change it and what did that cost?
You will have to change the clutch fluid a few times for 3 or 4 weeks straight to slow down the discoloration. That will get all the dust out of the seals and slave cylinder for quite a while.
Yes, if the fluid is dark, then repeat the procedure.
It's pretty common for the cars to require this to be done frequently if the car is driven hard. Mine would always need to be done after a day of racing.

You'll have to do it a few times at first to get all of the crap out. Once you get it clean it's easy to maintain.
