Default A/C not working.

tried the A/C today for the first time after my cam install and no dice. Just blows air. The compressor isn't even kicking on.

I figured it was due to the high heat/coolant pressure shut off, but I didn't work at night wither cooler temps.

any Ideas or simple fixes?

thanks

Mike

i'd think some connection become loose/unpulgged. sure you already checked that. there is fuses..
http://www.chevrolet.com/assets/pdf/...ble_owners.pdf
kick panel page 6-103
engine fuse block page 6-106
you can try a reset, doubt is will work but costs nothing... Hold down the "Fan Speed", "Windshield Defrost" & "Rear Window Defrost" buttons on the HVAC head unit simultaneously for about 3 seconds.

Couple stupid questions for you:

1- were any lines to the condensor disconnected during the cam swap? On these cars, you either have to remove the condensor, or hang it up out of the way. I did that very thing on my cam swap, but it can bend or damage the A/C lines. If it was completely removed, was the system re-charged?

2- Are the pressure switch and compressor clutch plugged in (pressure switch is on right fender area, screwed into A/C line) ?

I'm guessing the charge is low or something is unplugged....

^^^idk. I had IPS motorsports do the install. I am going to go to them to look at it. I just wanted to make sure this didn't sound like a boken A/C unit.

I figured a something is disconected or not enough freon charge.

if there isn't enough freon will the compressor not kick on?
