2005 DBS Battery Drain Software update BIG $$$
I have the 05 with DBS.. I need the software update that fixes this known issue. I live in CT, the dealer claims even though it is a TSB and a known issue I have to pay them $130.00 for a 2 minute plug in... Is this really how GM treats it's customers? Do I have any alternative way of installing the update myself with any of the tools available like HP tunners software exc?

i feel your pain, but..
1) tsb is just a description on how to attempt to fix something, nothing else, not a recall
2) i assume your out of warrenty so you will pay
3) GM is not treating you bad or good , as they dont know you exist with a problem (see #4)
4) dealership is privately owned. they decide how and IF they want to work on your car and who pays.
just my thoughts. my thoughts in way way mean i disagree with you.
