When you say "rubbing" do you mean it sounds like you are driving on the strips on the side of the interstate? Is anything felt in the steering wheel? Is it RPM specific when it starts?
If so, I had this problem where the steering wheel felt like a cellphone vibrating in my hand starting at 40mph and getting worse through 70mph. Felt like driving on a washboard and made a cyclical noise like something was grinding. Had both front wheel bearings replaced and problem solved.
