Put the car on the lift and could barely see the sensor.. Just gonna have to bring it into speed inc to tear everything apart and inspect the cam bolts..
Did you figure out the rattle problem and no start up? I have a 05 that will start fine then sometimes wont start turns over but you have to hit the button to stop starter?

fettvette,

I'm sorry you are having these issues. Have you taken your Corvette into your friendly neighborhood dealership to have your problems checked out?

I have. They replaced Fuel pump,Ecu and put a new belt on it. I held a straight edge from the crack to the other pulleys and it looks that it is slid out I feel the crank bolt came loose. Will that make it just crank and no start due to the crank sensor

His motor blew and fused a lifter into the black. Complete rebuild was necessary, we're about to put the motor back in then we have to figure out the trans issue. Hopefully a smaller stall with fix it.

I had a P0716 code as well and it put the car into limp mode. I couldn't find much info on here either. I was told by a member here with a built A6 to clear it and see if it comes back it should be okay. I haven't seen it come up again but I really haven't driven the car much due to non-trans related issues. Matt @ ECS never got back to me on the code though so I'm not really sure if it's something to worry about. Hopefully it's something minor.

As for the NGK plugs, has anyone ran into any issues running them?

Btw Matt is no longer with ECS call Doug or Chris. The 6L80 can be a bear good luck. I would not ignore it.

Thanks, a member here had the same issue and cleared it and it never became an issue so I'm hoping it's nothing major. I will bring it to their attention though.

Hey bud.. Yes I am no longer with ECS as of a few months ago. If you email matt@eastcoastsupercharging.com it should forward over to the general mailbox. For best reply call Doug or Chris at 609-752-0321 or you can email Chris@eastcoastsupercharging.com.

Thanks

Matt

The no start was from the cam position sensor getting eaten alive by the cam gear..I had cam bolts backing out that destroyed bunch of lifters from the cam floating..I had a lifter stuck in the bore that had to come out from the bottom..lifter bore was tore up pretty good..was also getting piston to valve smack..ended up getting a deal on a trade plus cash for a rebuilt short block..

New vs old Cam position sensors

Any info out there on the PO716 code? My car should be out and about again by the end of this week.. And I still have yet to solve the trans problem..my buddy has a Scanner that can delete the code and hopefully that resolves the problem.
