I have a 2008 C6 Convertible and would appreciate it if one of you Forum veterans would point me in the direction of information about the best auto battery to buy to replace the OEM unit. Thanks.
Weight is not an issue. Want to use the stock battery hold-downs. Located on passenger side in front of firewall. Thanks for specific brand/part number or help to find existing posts. I want to buy one tomorrow if possible. Happy Father's Day!
Thanks to each of you for your inputs. I struggled with it long enough and today bought an AC Delco 85 7YR. Just couldn't have the car sit for another day.
Cheers!
I gave away my OEM wet battery soon after I bought my 2008 coupe in favor of an Optima Red Top #75/25. Fits perfect with factory hold-down clamp. Low height allows access to cabin filter and doesn't turn your cable connections green like a wet battery will over time. And we all know what compromised battery terminals can do to a C6! If you have to wet it, forget it.
