question... does automatic fob memory recall function, readjust anything?
question... does press memory recall (1 or 2) adjust anything?

manual 2-66 and other places has normal instructions on operating memory, which you already know i'm sure. that page also notes whats required depending on auto/manual when pressing memory recall..
http://www.c6registry.com/Technical/manuals/2005OM.pdf

interesting note in your 2005 manual..
If your vehicle has the Auto Memory Recall feature and
it is turned on in the Driver Information Center (DIC),
the seat, mirrors and telescopic steering column position
will automatically adjust to their programmed positions
when the engine is started.

interesting note on 3-67...
If more than one valid keyless access transmitter is
detected upon opening the driver’s door, the driver
preferences for the lowest driver number will be recalled.

note that fobs programmed as #1 & #2 only have memory settings (#3 & #4 dont).
