Help! Problem getting Air Raid to slide onto throttle body!

Help! Problem getting Air Raid to slide onto throttle body!
I could sure use some advice from someone who has done this before!!!!
I am in the midst of installing an air raid cold air intake on a 2011 corvette. In following the directions I am trying to get the intake to slide over on to the throttle body. the intake is seated at the top of the throttle body but not all the against the lip at the bottom. It took great effort to get it to this point but leaning over as you have to do and wiggling it back an forth does not seem to move it against the lip to seat properly so I can tighten the clamp.
I would deeply appreciate any ideas as to what I am doing wrong or how to get it to seat properly. Any thoughts?????
