Check the fuse block.... Both in the engine compartment and the hidden fuses behind the kick plate on the passenger side floor board. That is where I would start as it sounds like a fuse.
I have a 2012 grandsport and my ac stopped working yesterday
Really? Could be many things. But the easiest one to fix would be the control panel. You'll have to take it to a dealer man. First thing to check is the belt, as mentioned, but I highly doubt that's your issue. After that, you need to make sure there's enough pressure in the system (meaning no leaks), but you need special gauges for that. If no leaks, then it could be the compressor's solenoid (the thing that 'clicks' when hitting A/C) or the control panel. Hopefully your car threw a code to make things easier. Having said that, one of the most common failures is a rock hitting and puncturing the condenser. That's why I installed fiberglass screening on my new GS the first day I brought it home. Radiators will always look new (no bugs), and will always be protected from road pebbles. Good luck.
Man, I've seen several freak failures on new 2012 cars. I waited almost a freaking decade to make sure all bugs were worked out, and I keep reading about stupid failures that should have been completely eliminated years ago. So far no issues with my '12 GS, other than design flaws, like car beeping for no reason when I open the door, and annoying crap like that. Leaving for its first road trip (1,500 miles) on Sunday; hope car doesn't give me any trouble .
Stick to the simple stuff first... See if the compressor clutch engages when the A/C is requested. With the engine running and the HVAC off, watch the compressor pulley while asking someone to switch on the A/C and the fan. Does the clutch engage, even for a few seconds ???

This!
If the clutch isn't engaging then check for power to the compressor with a meter. Could be simply a bad fuse. Also check the connector from the harness to the compressor.
The compressor never engages if there's not enough pressure in the system. Check your condenser for rock damage carefully. Unless you're mechanically inclined, take it in if nothing obvious pops up. Good luck.
Uuummmm you have a 2012 with a warranty. Take it to the stealership and have them look at it. Don't waste your time and your money. They just might void out your warranty if you go poking around and mess things up more. Just my $0.02
well after two days the dealership finally got my ac working again, at first they thought one of the parts had gone bad so they ordered it and had it delivered next day to find out that the actual blower motor for the ac had gone bad and needed to be replaced completely so they had a new motor here the next day and installed, and now everything works perfectly
