tried that stayed the same. the faster i go the louder it gets, when i first heard it was when i started the car and noticed a squeak put it in neutral and gave it some power and it get louder. I heard stories of fellow drivers having squeaks and other sounds so what they do is go take it for a spin i drove it hard and it went away. next morning it was back but not as loud

took idler pully off today and checked to see if that was making the noise there was a rock in there cleaned it up and put it back on. sound is there around 700 rpm sounds like a pissed of cricket Need help please!

With the belt off, did you try turning the accessory pulleys to see if any of them were obviously rough? How's the P/S fluid level? Do you have a stethoscope?
