Just bought c6 but headlights look like wrinkled any info on what i can do to fix them any product out there.. thanks
humm... heard of foggy, hazy, scratches, spiderwebbing, pits... but not wrinkled. some have tried to polish the lens but i have read many warnings that polishing is a very bad idea.
if they are bad enough (and your not under warrenty), there is places that sell just the lens but for about $350 a pair. You would need their instructions for removing/installing lens as they are 'glued' on, which i have also read that oven baking will soften the glue for removal. But i would never try that without proper instructions myself.
If the little cracks are one the inside, it's called crazing. It's covered under the 3 yr bumper to bumper. Not under the extended. The headlights are attached to the inside of the bumper. Each unit is ( OEM) about $1,000. eBay is about half that. Do a search on it. My dealer was nice and replaced them at 39 months. Good luck.
If really wrinkled, it could be they have 'clear bra' over them, and the installed wasn't the best. If that's your problem, it's easily remedied. Otherwis you read the options above. Good luck.
Mine also have a strange thing going on. The outer layer of plastic, let's call it the "clear coat" is beginning to peel off. Now I assume I will need the new lenses as they are showing signs of crazing as well.
RL, do you still do the lens replacement? If so, how much?
