Balky passenger door

I'm posting here because I've found you all the most knowledgeable and helpful. The passenger door on my 05 coupe has been getting more difficult to open. The window indexes down, but I had to touch the touch pad repeatedly and in just the right spot to get the door to open. This morning it wouldn't open electrically no matter what, not even with the button inside. The driver's door works just fine.

Any suggestions on what to check or how to fix this short of going to the stealer?

is this from the outside? if so

You can remove the touch pad and disassemble it to clean the contacts. It's very simple, requiring only a phillips screwdriver.

Thanks for the replies. I cleaned the door pad contacts and still nothing. The pad will index the window it just won't unlatch the door. the door unlatch button on the inside doesn't work either. Any ideas?
