My new 2012 has 500 miles now and I'm hearing what sounds like a relay clicking with brake application. The noise is coming from the passenger door area. Does anyone hear this in their cars?
Clearly some relays are just noisier than others so you might try just replacing your relay with a new one......it may be quieter but it's a crap shoot.
If it REALLY drives you crazy here's an EXTREME fix that requires some knowledge:
I'll see what the dealer says. It's not especially annoying and I don't want the dealer rooting around for something so minor. The TSB doesn't apply to the 2012 or later model years so it might be normal contact noise. Thanks for the info
the tsb date was when (approx) it was generated. they are often carried for some years before something is replaced that would end the tsb. (just remember that a tsb is a tech svc bulletin, not recall)
besides, if you havent already, look at fuse area at the passenger toe kick area, pull it down towards you from the top to expose that panel. doesnt hurt to know where that darn thing is hiding! after you do, see the relay and you can (with good reading glasses) see the number on it.. the hidden fuse panel layout..
