Default Reverse light housing question..

I just noticed my driver side backup light housing is loose on the bottom... From what I can tell, the bottom is located by two plastic pins molded into the light at the botton of the facia that holds it in place... seems the two pins are broken....

How is the upper portion of the light housing attached to the top of the bumper?

I think I could get good double stick tape to keep it secured at the bottom.... but just in case I wanted to replace it.... how hard?

well, not a great pic but all i have. btw, they dont list item #14(s) as a part you can order, meaning its a common screw/fastener that is used in numerous places on the car. (sometimes they dont list a fastener because it comes with the next part like #15)

Thanks Dave, perfect pic, looks like one screw holds it in place and the bottom molded plastic pins (the broken bits) just locate and hold the bottom in the two holes in the bottom of the bumper... I think a good double side tape or even a couple dabs of silicone would work fine for the rest of its life even.. I wonder how it attaches on the left top opposite of the screw?

probably two screw/fasteners at the top. they dont always show all the fasteners. note item#3, i bet there is 2 of them too, they just show 1 fastener.

Thank you for the P/N's...

This may be a silly question, but all things being equal.... why would one be a lot more than the other?

To be honest, it is in there pretty firm at the top and sits in the opening fine... I think some DS tape or a dab of adhesive would hold it pretty well.... not much going on back there anyway...

Thoughts??

well, i changed my prior post about costing much less. for some reason, GM dealership parts lookup showed huge difference in price, but when you go to partstaxi or gmpartshouse , they arent much different in price. whew... lol

oh and there was a parts number change for right hand too (left stayed the same)...

Thanks Dave,
You have been a great help... looks like they run +- $75.00 or so....

I am going to try a few easy fixes to just hold it in place and see how that goes... if no go... I will just replace it...
