Okay, this may seem a little "OCD" to some of you but whenever I park my car I always turn off the stereo unit and the climate control before I turn off the engine. ALWAYS
Well, every now and then, when I start up my 2012 2LT Corvette, the stereo system comes on and starts playing. I know for sure I turned the thing off when I parked the car. One night last week I even went so far as to turn off the stereo and place a sticky note on the switch to assure myself I had turned off the stereo. Well, the next morning I fired up the car and, you guessed it, the radio came on.
It does not do this all the time (maybe every second to third day) and the car is under warranty. Obviously, I'll be asking my local Chevy dealer to take a look. I was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else?
I had an issue early on in my 09 2lt. I set all my radio stations up and thought that I was all set. I went out to the car to go to lunch and my presets were gone. What I discovered was your set ups etc are linked to each key. So if I set up key 1 and went out to the car with key 2 then things would change. I would recommend making sure the changes are occurring using the same key each time. As I believe if you switch keys and the radio was on the last time you used that key,
it would be on and on the same station when you return with that key.
I have a similar issue except that the radio always reverts to driver 2 settings even though I only use the driver 1 key. It is quite annoying. I always have to switch to driver 1 after starting the car. Anyone have any ideas? It is an 07 conv.
