Hello everyone. I am a first time poster but have been regularly following the forum since April 2011 when I traded my 05' Ram SRT-10 in for my Corvette. My 2010 Corvette is Red on Red, A6, 3LT, NPP, with 11,300 miles currently. I installed a 160 T-stat, Hi-Low fan controller, and VaraRam Air intake. My best time previous to the VaraRam install was a 12.28 ET @ 117.50 mph. (Radiator shroud was propped open for cooler air). I have a couple of ?'s regarding the DiabloSport InTune (canned tune) vs the ECS custom tune appropriate to my mods. Does either tune address the huge lag in paddle shift commands? Also, what exactly would the ECS tune offer me over the Diablo Sport canned tune? Seen others asking for similar info but just need more specifics.
Thanks much for any info!!

Well I'll start with they have a great rep and tons of experience behind them. They are away at Corvettes at Carlisle and when they get back will probably respond to your post. BTW, nice #'s
I think you'll find that for drag racing, "most" guys find that leaving the A6 in "D", or in some cases "S" mode, and NOT USE the paddles, yields the best and most consistent runs. YMMV
And be sure to check out the C6 Scan and Tune Forum where this kind of stuff is discussed all the time. Good luck.
I agree the paddles are not the best for the dragstrip. I've had the best luck in S mode. I like using the paddles cruising around and hotrodding the car .I just wish they would respond to commands immediately, or at least much sooner, but dont get me wrong -especially for an automatic the car is a blast to drive. I'm hoping a tune will add a very noticeable increase in the fun factor.
i have headers, intake, and a custom tune by ECS for my car on my diablosport intune. they are very quick and have great customer service. you will get more out of a custom tune for sure and you cant go wrong with ECS
The guys at ECS are fantastic. Even though they were busy with Carlisle Alex and the tech staff walked me through some issues I was having with my car this weekend and got the parts I needed to me right away. Thanks ALEX... Thanks ECS. You will not go wrong give em a call.
They can make lots of changes to the trans behavior, but I don't think anyone can make the paddles shift quickly enough to be useful for drag racing or any time when you are going to redline. There is a delay between when the shift is commanded, and when it occurs, and that seems to be the problem.

Cant go wrong with ECS
Their name also stands for E xcellent C ustomer S ervice
Thanks for the responses. I kinda figured it was wishful thinking to get the paddle commands to react as soon as I would like them to. Sounds like ECS is the way to go. Thanks again!
