stripped shock bolts
Hello all,
I have a 2006 Z51 with all stock suspension. While driving I was feeling/hearing a clunking on the left front. While inspecting I discovered that there were no bolts holding the shock to the lower control arm (left side). Further inspection revealed stripped out threads in the lower control arm.
Has anyone seen this before?
My options for fix are use longer bolt and nut, or new lower control arm. Don't want to go through expense and trouble of control arm if this is a common problem with them.
Checked right side, and 1 of the 2 bolts has done same as left.
Car is at stock ride height.

Ive seen nuts back off bolts, my experience is on an 98 c5 the bolts backed out of the leaf spring clamps,
the nuts you need are 10mm and long socket from underneath to get stock sizes.
