I have a 2013 Z06 and I have an annoying popping noise when I shift through the gears and when I back off the throttle fast can somebody tell me if there is a fix for this, its driving me nuts and I want to get rid of this noise.
Most guys love that sound and try to make it louder ...but you can have a tuner reduce most of it by bumping up the timing in the Coast Down Spark table by 2-3*, from 0 - .4 gm/cyl across all rpms. Any decent tuner can take care of it for you.

This is a joke right, your kidding (ha), OK, you can tell the truth now. That sound is the most sweet sounding exhaust to ever be put on a 'vette from the factory, ever.
if you think that is loud...you should ride in my '12 grand sport vette. i have headers, offroad x pipe (no cats), and my npp catback with the mild to wild switch which i leave open all the time. you would really hate my car lol that backfire is a mean awesome sound...you have a 7.0 ltr 427 cubic inch engine under the hood...they are pretty mean
My 2009 Z06 had some exhaust popping, etc but when I installed a Vette-Air scoop to get cooler air to the stock air filter & element, while retaining the stock tune, the exhaust popping was almost entirely eliminated.

Love that sound; we used to work hard to get a little of that "burble"............ Don't back off the gas so much when you shift.
