Wilwood brakes will work with a small spacer.

When you say "upgrade", do you mean a cosmetic upgrade?....or performance upgrade for some kind of track use, ie: auto-X, HPDE, or actual track?

Does your car already have the optional J55 brakes?

1/4" spacer. I have BBS wheels for the street and factory wheels for the track.

performance, i dont believe i have the j55 option, if that is the Cross-drilled brake rotors 500 option when you build your car than no i dont have them, i do have different looking calipers than the 2012 model because mine is the 60th anniversary addition i am assuming?? unless it is just show?

05 to 13 are all the same brakes.

Forged Narrow Superlite 6R Big Brake Front Brake Kit (Hat), Forged Narrow Superlite 4R Big Brake Rear Brake Kit For OE Parking Brake is the one you want.

I recently did Powerstop Drilled and Slotted rotors with their Ceramic Pads and LOVE the results

No spacers or anything needed...fit right on....no dust and no squeak

You can get them from Brakemotive:

I bought a used set of Z51 brackets and a set of Z51 DBA rotors. They are a nice upgrades for the price. Uses the stock base calipers and new set of Akebono ACT731 ProACT Ultra-Premium Ceramic Brake Pad.

Added a set of stainless braided brake lines. Just be aware that a number of us ran into big problems with the right rear line nut!

I needed new rotors (old ones scored) and new pads (could not stand the squealing crapulant GM pads). Ken @ KNS Brakes got me the deal of the century on a set of Z51 DBA rotors at a steep discount. He is the man if you need anything dealing with Vette brakes.

You say you're after a performance upgrade. Z51 rotors will not give you this. Ceramic pads will give you LESS braking along with less dust. If you want relatively inexpensive better braking you need to improve the pads. You will have more dust. That is the trade off.

I prefer the Carbotech XP pads for track and autox and run them on the street most of the time. They do squeal if you don't keep them bedded. And, they are dusty but they really stop. The Carbotech 1521 pads are a good choice for street and are compatable with their XP pads.

They are the same caliper as all base models. I would look at the Carbotech XP8 for street and tack use all in one.

A high torque brake compound with a wide operating temperature range of 200°F-1350°F+ (93°C to 732°C+). Carbotech™ XP8™ is the first of our racing compounds. Good initial bite at race temperatures, high coefficient of friction, excellent modulation and release characteristics. Extremely high fade resistance and very rotor friendly. Excellent as a front brake pad for lighter applications weighing around 2,400lbs or less. Perfect for track day use with any tire and can still be driven safely to and from the track. Carbotech™ does NOT recommended XP8™ as a daily driven street pad due to elevated levels of dust and noise. Carbotech™ XP8™ is a great compound on the front & rear of most open wheel and sports racers.

Where did you pick up the brackets from and how much? Thanks

Because your intial post is vague at best.

What is it you want? Do want a big brake kit? Do you want more aggressive braking but more dust? Do you want to upgrade the pads? Do you want to upgrade the rotors? Do you know anything about brakes at all?
