Default Hinson motor mounts installed: I like!

During a recent oil change I noticed some nice rusty fluid stains on the front subframe, so after some more looking it was obvious to me that the mount was shot. I've been cammed now for 4+yrs so it was of no surprise, not to mention the "beating" it goes through every few months.

I've had a slight trans leak as well so it was time to get these two things addressed and out of my hair. I've followed the Hinson mount threads for months since their release and knew those were the direction I'd go but with some hesitancy due to my decent sized cam. Regardless, I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the stock height mounts.

Last night I got the car back and I was very surprised to feel the car shaking LESS at idle. It barely moves and I gotta say I'm "kindof" disappointed; not really but I was for a second (LOL). While driving back home I noticed it definitely firmed up the engine as there are more noises/creeks but thats with the radio off and the windows down. With the radio on I can't hear a difference from stock at all. However, the throttle response is improved greatly! When taking off from a stop the engine is barely budging when I'm engaging the clutch.

From a punch, you really feel the benefits of no (or very little) engine movement. Instead its moving the power straight to the back wheels.

I wanted to take time to post this feedback as a 500+rwhp cammed owner that is happy with this vendor product. I personally haven't seen much feedback from others in my hp range with cams and street driving requirements like myself.

Nice product Hinson!

I've had the Hinson treatment in my car for a few months now and my feelings pretty much mirror yours.

You're just full of good news aren't you? I was just eyeballing the Pfadt mounts.

...and that recent Spal cooling fan recommendation has worked wonders...although I'm still figuring out a shroud. lol!
