Default Cam/Header Reccomendations?

Hey Forum, I Just recently purchased a 2007 Vette Convertible. I am very satisfied with it, but I really want it to sound like a monster. I want a good rumble at low rpm's & to roar like a pissed off demon when in high rpm's. Can anyone recommend some good header's & or a cam that will increase it's vocal range?

I'm running LG Super Pro 1 7/8 in headers, no cats, and B&B Bullets. It sounds exactly like you want it to sound. Add a cam and you have a race car. Look up LGs G6X3 cam... You will like.

P.S.- I went with 1 7/8 because of a future forced induction install. If no FI go 1 3/4 headers.

Default Kooks and Borla

I have the same car.
2007 vert. Z51 6sp stick

Running Kooks 1 3/4", Kooks X-pipe with hi-flow cats and
Borla S-Type II mufflers.

Im using BigDaddies Garage straight-Cel fix.

My setup allows me to sound pretty good, pull into my driveway late at night without wakeing the neighbors and best of all ... I just past DMV emissions !

My car is a daily driver, no racing. Just having fun each day.

Default CEL fix

http://www.bigdaddiesgarage.com/

Once you put an X-Pipe with hi-flow cats on, you will throw a check engine light. The problem is with the rear 02 sensors not getting the same amount of gases as they were originall desiged. The CEL fix is the solution.

Be forewarned that once you mess with your car, you will most likely throw check engine lights.

My car is a daily driver, so I need reliability and pass emissions too!

Hi Brian,
Is that the Katech LS3 Torquer cam?

Zengod,
I have Kooks headers with cats and NPP exhaust. It sounds great with the exhaust open, and very quite when closed. If you are close to Austin, Tx, Brian can get you hooked up and do the install also.

Throw long tube headers on first, then worry about the over-axle. You may not even want it after the headers. I love the sound of my car, but wish I had gone that route initially because the headers make it scream.

I've got the Borla Multicore over axle, LG Street Series Long Tubes and LG X-pipe with high flow cats. Idle is deep and sounds means, plus wide open is loud and dramatic. Ideal cruising speed is just over 68, 70-73 mph with my A4 with 2.73s; zero drone in that range.

Sweet!! Thanks for all the info/ Recommendations everyone! I will definitely check everything out & see which I like the best. But If i have someone who know's what they are doing install everything, will that still cause the check engine light to come on?

No and the torquer cam is smaller. The 230/234 is more LS2 specific since the heads are different.

You're getting good info here. I'm selling a set of LG long tubes and I have a sound clip with cats and a Corsa exhaust. Without cats and an even louder set of mufflers would be something else for sure.

we have LG headers and Borla exhaust on the wife's 05
to us, its ok, nothing i would rant about being over the top loud or knarly sounding
it certainly enhanced it without a doubt from a stocker (as one would expect)
however, probably add in a cam and i'm sure it would be quiet nice
also keep in mind i'm used solid cams with excessive duration and lift, so our view is way different from others

i'm sure any of the above mentioned setups will appeal to you
just hit youtube and have at it
