passenger window cycles looking for home
my passenger window will cycle between the door open and door closed position until I press the door lock button or it just shuts down.
Any idea what could cause this?
I opened the door and tripped the door latch to make sure there was nothing blocking the window channel and it will do it with the door open and the door latch tripped.

No guaranty but it's very probably the outside switch pad. It either needs to be cleaned or replaced if you aren't into fixing things. Of course the problem could be something else but this has been the most common cause, so much so GM issued a TSB for it. You can easily check by swapping the driver's side pad to the passenger side to see if the problem stops.
