Default Correct exhaust for 2007 convert auto

I have a 2007 base engine automatic trans paddle shift convertible. Anybody know what other year and model cars would have exactly the same exhaust system? Thanks very much-just trying to locate parts to get back to stock from Flowmasters. Too loud for me. I (and my wife) want whisper quiet. Thanks for any info.

Are you talking about "just" the mufflers? Or the complete exhaust system?

I just bought the car and it has Flowmasters on it. I don't know what they typically change to install them. The car does not have non stock headers on it but I haven't been under it yet and am not sure what to look for.

Well, if you buy "stock" mufflers for a C6 they come with the "over axle" pipes attached as a unit. Since the C6 exhaust pipes are 2 1/2", hopefully they didn't feel the need to replace all of it and just cut the mufflers off and added the Flowmasters and welded them to the stock over axle pipes. If that's the case you can probably get a set of stock mufflers with over axle pipes and either, replace all of those parts on your car OR cut the stock mufflers off the pipes you buy and weld them on to replace the Flowmasters.

It would probably be a good idea to get under the car yourself or take it to a mechanic or exhaust shop and have someone knowledgeable determine what you have to work with.

There should be lots of "take off" stock mufflers available here from guys who have upgraded so just post a WTB (want to buy) in the C6 Parts Forum. You can use any '05-'07 or '08 NON NPP but obviously the newer the better it will be for you.

'05 to '08 are all the same. You want a stock axleback from those years. Put a WTB ad in the For Sale section. Lots of people have stock axlebacks, price shouldn't be much, I gave mine away to the first person that asked.
