Default Warning display

2006 C6 mt with ECS blower. Driving and noticed on the display HOT ENGINE AIRCONDITION OFF. Looked at the temperture guage and the needle pointed to 0 temperture. Oil temp was 150 When I pulled up the temp on display screen it said XXX F The outside temp was 55 degrees. Raised the hood and the engine did not appear hot at all.
Whats this all about?

Sounds like the temp sensor system has failed, and the car interperts "no information" as "too hot", which is the conservative way to go.

Can you get someone to read the codes that are/were set?

yes I will take it to the shop tomorrow. Just didn't want to ruin the engine if it was running hot. I guese I can monitor the oil temperture. Thanks for your advice
