Acetone

I was reading that adding Acetone to the gas improves your cas mileage and performance.Has anyone tried this and how did the car perform?About 2 ounces per gallon.

Acetone is nail polish remover.I never heard of putting it in your gas tank.

Considering the absurd lengths the OEM's go to in order to boost fuel economy by a tenth of a MPG, if it was that easy, it would probably be common practice.

It's been discussed ad-nauseam on quite a few of the performance forums. There were believers on both sides of the equation with no clear winner. I don't think it's worth the hassle.
